1. Who we are

New Gen Renewables(“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. We are based at Ste 7, Merley House, Merley House Lane, Broadstone, Dorset, BH21 3AA.

If you have any questions about how we use your data, or you want to exercise any of the rights set out below, contact us via our contact page or by phone. We do not publish an email address, so the contact form is the quickest written route to us.

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:

  • Contact form submissions: your name, phone number, email address, and message when you use any enquiry form on this site.
  • Solar savings plan submissions: in addition to the above, the property type, the rough monthly electricity spend band you select, your main goal for solar, and your postcode and town. We use these to prepare your plan by hand.
  • Advertising click identifiers: if you arrive from a Google Ads advert, the advert click identifier (gclid, wbraid or gbraid) is read from the page address and submitted alongside your enquiry. This lets us tell which advert led to a genuine enquiry. It identifies the advert click, not you personally.
  • Analytics data: anonymised information about how you use this website (pages visited, time on site, device type, and page performance timings).

We do not collect any special category data through this website. Special category data means information about health, race or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data, sex life or sexual orientation. We also do not take payment details or financial account information through this website.

3. How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry: contact form and savings plan submissions are used solely to follow up with you and prepare what you asked for. We will not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
  • To measure our advertising: advert click identifiers let us match a genuine enquiry back to the advert that produced it, so we do not keep paying for adverts that do not work.
  • To improve our website: anonymised analytics and performance data help us understand which pages are useful, and where pages are loading slowly.

The legal basis for processing contact form and savings plan data is legitimate interest (responding to a business enquiry you initiated). The legal basis for advert measurement and for analytics is also legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site performs. Where any service we use sets non-essential cookies, that processing is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using your browser’s privacy controls.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

  • Web3Forms: processes contact form and savings plan submissions on our behalf. Form data is transmitted securely to Web3Forms and forwarded to us by email. See Web3Forms Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights: collect aggregated, anonymised visit and page-performance measurements (such as page views, referrer, country, device type, and how quickly pages render). They do not use cookies and do not track you across other websites. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Google Ads: where we run adverts, Google provides the advert click identifier described above so we can measure which adverts produce genuine enquiries. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics: where enabled, provides anonymised traffic data. IP addresses are anonymised. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Phoenix Financial Consultants Limited: if you ask us about paying for your installation with finance, we pass your details to Phoenix so they can discuss the options with you. New Gen Renewables is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Phoenix (Financial Services Register No. 1040973). Phoenix is a credit broker, not a lender, and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 539195). We only pass your details on if you ask us to.
  • Vercel: hosts this website. Vercel may log standard server access data (IP address, request timestamps) as part of normal hosting operations. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

6. How long we keep your data

Contact form enquiries are retained in our email system for up to 2 years, after which they are deleted. We do not store form submissions in any other database.

7. Your rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate data
