Our story
Two ex-installers who went out on their own
New Gen Renewables is a family-run solar, battery and EV installer founded by Phil Sayer and Jake Sayer around two years ago. Both started on the tools as installers. Phil went on to run his own roofing and electrical team and then spent 5 years in management, while Jake moved into technical support, aftersales and commercial compliance. Between them, that gives an all-encompassing skill set across the whole install, from first survey to switch-on. Phil has around 20 years in the trade, Jake around 5, roughly 25 years combined. Going independent meant doing it properly: honest advice, warranty-first buying, and a bespoke design around what a home or business actually uses, never a template quote.

Long-standing, hand-picked, Phil-trained crews
We work with the same trusted scaffolders, roofers and electricians on every job, so you get people we know and rate. Our scaffold team has worked with us for 7 years. The roofing teams were trained by Phil personally around 5 years ago, and our main electrician has worked alongside Phil for 20 years. If something ever needs putting right, our insurance-backed workmanship warranty (IWA) covers it independently of us, and manufacturer warranties (25-year product, 30-year performance) stand regardless.
